Fundraise for IDV

Start Changing Survivors Lives Today

Thanks for your interest in fundraising for IDV.  Your efforts, no matter the size, will help Change Survivors Lives!

However you decide you fundraise, experience shows that the sooner you start, the more successful you will be.

Even if you are not 100% sure yet about how best to proceed, you can take the first simple steps today by setting up a fundraising page - you can then add more details later.

Even if you don’t plan to run an actual event you can still email your page to your networks and ask for donations:

  • If your networks are in the UK we recommend setting up a fundraising page on JustGiving (use the general “Fundraise for us” button).
  • If your networks are in the USA we recommend setting up a fundraising page on GlobalGiving today (first choose a project and then use the “Start a Fundraiser” button).

Fundraising Guides

To help you out with your fundraising we have created the following useful guides:

Intro Fundraising Guide - this document provides all the info you need to get started, including ideas for events and sample costs.

Full Fundraising Guide - this document expands on the above and provides detailed ideas for many different types of events.

Organised Events

Don’t have time to organize your own fundraising event? No problem! There are also events pre-organised by third party companies that you can join.

These may require you to pay a registration fee and commit to a minimum fundraising goal. However, depending on the organiser, any fee may be covered by the money you raise, or be refundable! Some good options to consider are Charity ChallengeAdventure Café and Discover Adventure.

Paying In

There are lots of ways to get the funds you raise to us.

The easiest way is online.  If you set up a page on JustGiving or GlobalGiving then we will receive the funds automatically without you have to do anything.

If you are not comfortable fundraising online, you are welcome to collect donations offline and then send us a bank transfer or cheque.

If you are not comfortable with these options? Just e-mail so we can find an option that works for you.
